A Few Updates
I've got some things to share, but first, some news.
Hello, you handsome and gorgeous lot. I am fresh off seeing the Cowboy Carter show in Houston with my girlfriend and enjoying my first trip to Pappadeaux. While I was away, I reached 150 followers, and I want to thank y’all once again for rockin’ with me.
I am working on some new content, but in the meantime, I have a few updates.
Update #1: Help me get to the Sex Down South Conference
I am joining my Black Queer Dom society crew at Sex Down South in an official capacity as the society's high protocol sommelier.
I am job hunting after being laid off, and I unexpectedly need the support of my community to cover some of my conference expenses.
This is a big opportunity for me to expand my skills in high-protocol service and to meet more folks outside of the DMV.
There are a few ways to support me:
Book a Tarot Reading With Me. I offer 30-minute readings for $50 and 60-minute readings for $75.
Book a 1:1 Coaching Session With Me. In my professional life, I am an executive-level communications strategist with 20 years of experience. $75 gets you a 45-minute personal branding coaching session with me.
Become a paid subscriber of the Lola Letters. This also helps sustain my content creation long-term.
Contribute at the level of your choice via my Cash App ($MzLolaRozay). Any amount helps.
You can find all my links, including how to book with me, right here.
Update #2: A New Essay Comes Out This Week–and it’s a tough one
I am preparing to publish an essay I was afraid to write, but desperately needed to. It is about what happens when you are a woman, and your consent violator is also a woman.
The short answer is: not nearly enough.
The piece will be open to all my subscribers for at least 1-2 weeks. After that, it will be behind a paywall indefinitely due to the personal nature of the subject matter.
This piece is also inspired by my consent being violated by another woman a few years ago. I ended two friendships in the aftermath, and I will explain how. I’ll also discuss why folks seem hesitant to support survivors when a woman violates consent. Names will be changed for the sake of privacy.
I’m going to do it scared because I can’t hold onto it anymore. It’s time to release it.
My one hope, as always, is that my story helps someone else or will spark new discussions.
That’s all for now. You’ll hear from me again soon.
